About Me

a little about me... My hobbies are cooking (and eating), birdwatching, traveling, reading, bicycling and walking (when the weather allows). Also, I enjoy going to the movies and some television- right now I like the Good Wife and Mad Men. After many years of being in the convention and travel industry I decided to slow down and try library work instead. I am currently working at the College of Lake County library while also going to school to become a Library Technical Assistant (LTA). I'm married but no kids, but I am a great-aunt to 2 nieces and 2 nephews whom I adore and love to spend time with.

The Sun

I love this time of year, don't you? when the air starts to feel warm but the breeze is still cool to remind me that it's still winter. And the sun seems so bright because I've seen so little of it that my eyes have to adjust to the brightness of its light!  and the sky...oh on a clear day it is sooooooo blue that I forget I live in a city, it's as if there is no pollution. Yes, I love these days - this week I feel renewed and renergized and I don't even know why but I like the feeling, so I'm happy! May you all find a little
